Job summary

Continental is seeking an industrial maintenance professional in Illinois for hands-on repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems. The role emphasizes safe operation, adherence to LOTO and PPE protocols, and coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.

You will diagnose issues using hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, perform sheet metal work for guards and ducts, and ensure equipment reliability in a high-demand manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Requires 3–5 years of industrial mechanical experience.
Associate degree or equivalent in maintenance/industrial tech.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
Relocation assistance not provided.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, steam, hydraulic and pneumatic power transmission and drive systems.
Remove, replace and bleed air from hydraulic systems before and after maintenance work.
Perform lubrication and maintenance on gears, bearings, slides and related components.
Inspect and repair piping (Ferris and non-Ferris), valves, traps and related devices in process/service piping.
