Job summary

Kopp Glass, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of high-performance glass products, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician focused on mechanical systems to support our manufacturing process. You will troubleshoot and repair production equipment, maintain facility mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems, and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; technical school certification in Industrial/Mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience; three-phase electrical experience strongly preferred; welding and HVAC experience a plus.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Must be able to use a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Must be available for call-in and overtime shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Maintains building environment including heating, ventilation, and basic plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electronic components.
• Troubleshoot and repair 220 / 480 volt-three phase electrical systems.
• Fabricates fixtures, gauges, and necessary parts for machinery and equipment.
• Maintain equipment to manufacturer or Kopp Glass specification in order to meet internal and external customer needs.
