Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Vandergrift, PA, is seeking an on-site Electro-Mechanical Technician to support advanced manufacturing equipment used in insulated glass unit production. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated systems, working closely with engineers and operators to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements include an associate degree in Mechatronics or related tech, at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, and strong Siemens PLC/automation skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in the specified tech field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs, preferably S7, TIA Portal, WinCC HMI, Profinet.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and improve automated manufacturing equipment.
• Support HEGLA glass cutting systems, Glaston panel assembly systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Siemens PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize reliability.
• Assist installation, startup, validation, and integration of new equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers on root cause investigations and process improvements.
• Maintain equipment documentation, spare parts and safety records.
