Coherent Corp. in Pittsburgh is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support 24/7 industrial facilities.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, respond to emergency repairs, and assist with new installations while ensuring safety and quality. The role requires strong mechanical skills, adherence to procedures, and the ability to work independently in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, multi-skilled technician with broad mechanical knowledge.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and facilities systems is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use diagnostic tools.
• Commitment to safety and quality in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Effectively performs emergency and unscheduled repairs and preventative maintenance tasks per policies and procedures.
• Completes maintenance on schedule and within quality standards to limit downtime.
• Supports installation of new equipment and process controls.
• Documents work orders, status updates and service records.
• Directs assigned projects including procurement, installation, renovations, and modifications per PSM compliance.
• Maintains safety and organized work areas.
• Participates in Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and activities.
