Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking a maintenance technician to locate, repair, adjust, and install parts on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will follow drawings, manuals, and safety procedures to restore full functionality of both simple and complex machinery.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, completing daily reports, and working on equipment at height using boom vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years mechanical machinery and equipment maintenance experience.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
• General knowledge and demonstrated experience in plumbing, painting, carpentry, or mechanical maintenance.
• Must be able to read blueprints and read instruction manuals.

Responsibilities

• Locate source of trouble, disassemble, repair, adjust, align, replace and/or install parts to restore functionality.
• Repair and adjust mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and/or parts thereof as required.
• Modify or install new units/fixtures on mechanical equipment and/or its components; assist higher-grade mechanics on complex repairs.
• Lubricate, clean, inspect, and perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer’s specifications.
• Report recurring malfunctions and potential trouble sources to ensure safe repair.
• Complete daily machine reports for permanent record.
• Follow environmental health and safety rules and good housekeeping practices.
• Work safely at heights and from boom vehicles; participate in team knowledge sharing.
