Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years in machinist, mechanic, millwright, pipefitter, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of general mechanical and engineering principles.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills and tact.
• Work with facilities and production personnel as a team.
• Good hand-eye coordination; able to work at heights with safety gear.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: trade school, apprenticeship or related certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance per OEM specifications.
• Service and repair rotating and reciprocating machinery (pumps, motors, engines, fans, etc.).
• Design/modify plumbing for vacuum/cryogenic/high-pressure systems.
• Use tools such as mill, lathe, grinders, drills, calipers, gauges.
• Maintain records in CMMS and follow work orders.
• Support Kaizen and maintenance improvement efforts.
