Job summary

Demco Mfg is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to maintain equipment and structures at our Boyden, IA facility. The role involves performing light plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include scheduled maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and mentoring junior staff, with emphasis on timely, independent work and teamwork to keep fabrication and supporting systems operational.

Responsibilities

To conduct machinery maintenance
Trouble-shoot any plumbing problems or projects
To perform some light carpentry and electrical work including operating power tools
To have safe work habits and follow safety rules and procedures
To attend required safety training applicable to all regulatory programs
To follow procedures for all regulatory programs at Demco (hazardous waste management program, wastewater, etc.)
Conscientious of following procedures
Good recordkeeping skills
To mentor and train other employees
Operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other machinery to fix or maintain Demco's structure or equipment
To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis
To work as a team and be self-motivated to work independently
To actively be looking for new and improved ways to do things
Work with others to solve problems
To trouble shoot the east end paint booths
