Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Maintenance Associate I to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facilities equipment, ensuring safety and reliability. The role involves troubleshooting, welding, and collaborating with plant staff to keep machinery like conveyors, pumps, and compressors running efficiently.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of hydraulics/pneumatics/mechanics experience, basic electrical repair skills, and reading schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Ability to write detailed repair reports and communicate well.
• Post-secondary education or a technical trade certificate is an asset.
• Welding – basic welding capacity.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to relate and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs in a timely manner.
• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment (conveyors, compressors, pumps).
• Repair or replace control devices (switches, sensors, pushbuttons, contactors).
• Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
• Set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools.
• Fabricate and modify equipment as needed.
• Test equipment after repair for safety and operability.
• Participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
