Qualifications

• 3–10 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Able to adhere to safety policies and ensure quality.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and CMMS systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and printed materials.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems on manufacturing equipment.
• Set up equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and maintain mechanical components to keep equipment in top condition.
• Understand electrical principles and troubleshoot control circuits and sensors.
• Work with PLCs, motor control circuits and programmable drives.
• Maintain pneumatic systems and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Enter all work completed in CMMS and monitor parts usage.
• Train technicians and supervise direct reports as needed.
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits, new equipment, or relocated machines.
• Follow safety policies and respond to standby assignments as required.

JOB DETAILS

2nd Shift: 3pm-1am Monday-Friday Every other Saturday

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
• Train all levels of technicians in more complex tasks and skills
• Responsible for direct reports activities
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates degree in related field, or equivalent relative experience
• 3-10 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and CMMS systems
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
• Ability to train all levels of Technicians
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
• Bilingual is plus. (English & spanish)
