Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, engines, valves and related equipment within a plant environment. The role involves mechanical troubleshooting, dismantling/re-assembling components, and testing to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and 6 months to 2 years in a related maintenance position, with experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic tools and shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and able to read, write and comprehend English.
• 6 months to 2 years experience in a related maintenance role.
• Experience with power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools preferred.
• Experience with material handling equipment, gauges and precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on pumps, engines and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems.
• Inspect, dismantle, repair and reassemble equipment to restore safe operation.
• Install or replace light fixtures, locks, doors or painting as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE; operate company vehicles as required.
