Job summary

UFP Factory Built, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools. You will assist in repairs across the maintenance department and help keep records, parts, and safety practices up to date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year of machine repair experience in maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology and welding.
• Familiarity with hazardous waste handling procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular, preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools and building.
• Assists in repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts per manuals.
• Orders supplies and parts as required.
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Adheres to safety rules and participates in safety programs.
• If assigned to Treating Department, follows hazardous waste handling procedures.
• Prepares various reports as required.
