Job summary

Cenveo is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in Chicago, IL for the 1st shift (6am–2pm) to maintain high-speed envelope production equipment and ancillary systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild plant machinery while ensuring a safe, compliant work environment.

Under minimal supervision, you will use advanced mechanical skills to diagnose complex issues, perform rebuilds, and support continuous operation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Experience maintaining high speed production equipment and performing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to install, maintain, and repair plant equipment
Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist production personnel with diagnostics and repairs
Operate machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, welding, and cutting tools
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues and perform necessary repairs or installations
Monitor, schedule, and document preventive maintenance activities to ensure reliable equipment operation
Research, source, and requisition replacement parts and materials as needed
Perform required facility and equipment safety inspections/maintenance as required
Follow safety procedures and complete required documentation
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
