Job summary

thyssenkrupp Aerospace is hiring a maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. The role operates Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6 pm, with a safety-sensitive designation and mandatory pre-employment drug testing in Washington state.

The position requires mechanical/technical aptitude, a technical degree or certificate, and 3-5 years in an industrial maintenance setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs.
• Establish appropriate maintenance frequencies and perform regular preventive maintenance on all machinery/equipment.
• Perform facility/building maintenance and minor repairs; maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Coordinate work-related contracts and services; supervise outside contractors when needed.
• Participate in health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.
