Interstate Assembly Systems in Surprise, Arizona is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of our facility. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and timely repairs to production equipment while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, with strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fabrication, plus PLC and CMMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in facility maintenance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fabrication.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) and perform physical tasks.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing 480-volt electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing 2-5-ton overhead Kone bridge cranes.
• Knowledge of PLCs.
• Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Knowledge of CMMS.
• Knowledge of rigging and rigging safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly inspections and testing of fire extinguishers and eye wash equipment.
• Identify and correct minor repairs and perform upkeep of facility equipment.
• Schedule monthly inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead doors, cranes, and building equipment.
• Perform preventative and reactive repairs on production equipment.
• Repair and maintain forklifts.
• Repair and maintain sandblast equipment and related systems.
• Maintain compressor and air systems.
• Weld and machine parts for repairs when replacement parts are unavailable.
