Job summary

Interstate Assembly Systems in Surprise, Arizona is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure efficient operation and upkeep of our facility. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs; maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with safety regulations.

The shift is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, and the ideal candidate has a High School diploma and 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 4 years minimum of mechanical maintenance on equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fabrication.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems 480 volt and down.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing 2–5-ton overhead Kone bridge cranes
• Knowledge of Programmable logic controllers (PLC)
• Strong Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)
• Knowledge of Rigging and Rigging safety

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing monthly inspections and testing of all fire extinguishers and eye wash equipment.
• Responsible for identifying and correcting minor repairs, upkeep, and overall functions of the equipment in the facility.
• Complete the schedule of monthly inspections and preventative maintenance on overhead doors, overhead cranes, building mechanical equipment, and company issued equipment.
• Perform preventative and reactive corrective repairs on production equipment.
• Repair and maintain forklifts.
• Repair and maintain sandblast equipment (blast pot, valves, dust collectors)
• Upkeep and repairs on compressor and air system
• Weld and machine parts for repairs if replacement parts are not readily available.
