Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Spokane Valley, WA seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and keep equipment safe and productive. You will read work orders, follow blueprints, and work within a fast-paced manufacturing setting while upholding Nortrak’s safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes industrial electrical skills, fabrication, hydraulics, welding, and pneumatic operations, with a strong team emphasis and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Technical College degree is a plus.
• Minimum four years industrial experience.
• Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.
• Certifications in electrical, hydraulics, and/or metal fabrication preferred.
• Proficient as an industrial electrician and core crafts (mechanical, fabrication, hydraulics, mobile equipment repair, HVAC/Boiler Operator, etc.).
• Knowledge of 480 volt 3-phase and industrial controls.
• Welding and pneumatic operations experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, safe, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and repair as needed.
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to guide maintenance.
• Cover plant operations related to manufacturing and shipping.
• Maintain safe operation of all equipment and environment.
• Adhere to Environmental, Safety and Quality procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and safety.
