Job summary

DFA in Zumbrota, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production and processing equipment running safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, welding, and the ability to read schematics and operate machine shop tools.

You will install new equipment, train operators, document repairs, and uphold DFA quality, safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two or more years mechanical/electrical education or equivalent experience in manufacturing facilities, preferably food experience.
Must have or obtain 1st class B boilers license within 12 months and follow hour requirements to upgrade license.
SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures.
Support the installation of new equipment.
Assist the operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure all repairs are documented.
Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant mission, vision, and core values.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
