Job summary

Maintenance Technicians in Ohio are responsible for keeping machines in prime condition to maximize efficiency and minimize costly downtime. The role covers installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance across production and facility equipment in alignment with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include managing work orders, diagnosing problems from manuals, performing routine and emergency repairs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree, Trade School Certificate and/or Military Technical Training is a plus.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food industry and/or under cGMP regulations.
• Basic skill level in PLC, HVAC and welding.
• Knowledge of and experience with food processing machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints; operate basic shop machinery.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage work orders in L2L; perform maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and consult manuals or catalogs to fix issues.
• Perform routine maintenance: inspect drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems; rebuild gearboxes and drives.
• Install equipment and piping; set up production lines.
• Ensure safety standards and communicate issues to Plant Management.
• Follow SOPs and cGMPs to maintain quality and productivity.
