Job summary

FEMA Corporation in Michigan seeks a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to support First Shift production. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm with overtime as needed. Reports to the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical and electrical understanding with strong attention to detail, initiative, and a desire to grow within the role and department. Must be able to work with CNC equipment and calibration tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Willingness to pursue a 2-year degree in a related field.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Basic understanding of wiring schematics and circuits.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to relay information to team.
  • Familiarity with precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
  • Willingness to work on CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to line breakages; interpret PLC program logic and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Suggest permanent solutions to recurring problems as part of the repair process.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to lock-out/tag-out practices and being mindful of product integrity.
  • Perform calibration, preventative maintenance, and technician requests on all equipment.
  • Work with minimal supervision while maintaining good time management and initiative.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Production on problem analysis/identification and implementation of long-term solutions to issues.

FEMA Corporation is looking for a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to support First Shift production. Normal work hours are Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:30pm with overtime as needed. This position will report to the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor.

Ideal candidates will have basic mechanical and electrical understanding, though not required to be specific to the manufacturing and automation field. Expectation of candidates is to have strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, initiative, and desire to grow within the role and department.

Job Responsibilities
