Job summary

Leggett & Platt in Morris, IL, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Flooring Products team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems to keep production running smoothly.

This role requires reading blueprints and schematics, performing preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and welding or fabricating as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Level 3 Electrotechnical Services qualification or equivalent technical training.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Install and repair motors, relays, sensors, wiring, and other industrial electrical components.
• Perform welding and fabrication work to support equipment repairs and improvements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
