Job summary

CST Industries, Inc., located in DeKalb, Illinois, is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for installation, diagnostic troubleshooting, and precision repair of heavy industrial electrical equipment at its manufacturing plant.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, manage digital work orders in CMMS, read industrial schematics, and support safety standards while minimizing downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of high-pressure hydraulic/power transmission systems.
• Practical experience troubleshooting intermediate electrical controls.
• Experience with welding and heavy fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and assets.
• Inspect and identify potential mechanical or electrical issues before breakdowns.
• Assist with mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy industrial equipment.
• Help install electrical infrastructure and conduits.
• Read and translate industrial schematics and CST documents.
• Maintain accurate CMMS work orders and logs.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
