Job summary

Precoat Metals in Granite City, IL is seeking a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician to ensure plant equipment and facilities are kept in good electrical and mechanical repair, enabling a continuous production mode.

You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, troubleshoot PLCs, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics, and perform installation, modification and fabrication to meet production needs while contributing to safety and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and 2+ years repairing/troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Experience with cranes, forklifts, hoists, 3-phase motors and variable speed drives.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Must be computer literate and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Organize and perform maintenance on production and facility equipment with emphasis on uptime.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, electronics, circuits, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Use electrical test equipment for repair and troubleshooting.
• Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
• Install, modify and fabricate equipment to meet production needs.
• Communicate maintenance status clearly across shifts.
• Support safety, quality and housekeeping improvements.
