Job summary

Altec seeks a skilled maintenance technician to properly maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility and production equipment to ensure safe operation. The role requires reading schematics, wiring, and mechanical tasks across locations.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, PLC/motor controls, welding, and basic machining. A strong safety mindset and ability to work in variable environments are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend.
• Associates degree or 5 years industrial electrical/electronic experience preferred.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics desired; PLC/motor controls knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of critical equipment.
• Interpret hydraulic/electrical diagrams, operation manuals and pneumatic systems.
• Wiring and electrical work in high voltage areas; install and repair plumbing.
• Welding, cutting, brazing and soldering as needed; may operate mills, drill presses and lathes.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; follow safety, environmental and quality policies.
