Job summary

Rinker Materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Cedar Hill, TX plant. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on diverse equipment, inspect for issues, and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.

The role requires fabricating parts, installing and repairing electrical systems, and collaborating with a team to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate has a technical or business degree or equivalent experience, plus 1+ year in a manufacturing setting,

Qualifications

• Business/technical degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a manufacturing plant is desired.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills required.
• Ability to read plans, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, switches, and valves.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair low and high voltage electrical systems.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues promptly.
• Position requires working on tall structures using a manlift and safety harnesses.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.

• Position does require working on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders and the use of safety harnesses.

About You

We Require:

• Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience. One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure.
• Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
• Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
• Ability to read and apply information fromplans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic problem solving techniques. Detail orientation.
• Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license.
