Job summary

Dow in Louisville, KY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and replace instrument, electrical, and mechanical systems supporting operating plants and utilities. You will maintain motors, valves, rotating equipment and other critical plant equipment to ensure optimal reliability.

Preferred candidates hold an Associate’s degree and have 3+ years in related roles; must adapt to rotating shifts and overtime, and be proficient with computers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid US driver's license required.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a chemical plant, packaging facility or similar skilled trade.
• Ability to work rotating and straight shifts.
• Proficient in computers to perform job tasks.
• Ability to work overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing instruments, motors, valves, rotating equipment and all plant equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot equipment upsets and determine repair path.
• Execute preventative maintenance plans to maintain equipment reliability (calibrations, alignments, lubrications, etc.).
