Job summary

RHI Magnesita in East Canton, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a heavy industrial setting. This on-site role requires handling conveyors, presses, and related plant equipment while supporting continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Card preferred, not required - Electrician, Millwright, Machine Repair journeyman cards will be accepted
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to perform electrical work in accordance with applicable codes
• Experience with welding is a plus
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry tools to workstations
• Ability to climb ladders and work in tight or confined spaces
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain main electrical power supply writing and conduit for plant equipment, including press, conveyors, air handlers, mixers, and hydraulic components
• Trouble shoot and repair conveyors, mixers, presses, and other plant equipment
• Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including rebuilding pumps and gearboxes
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and cranes as needed
• Always ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional plant teams to support efficient, safe, and reliable operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant maintenance needs
