Job summary

PLP in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, reading blueprints, and executing mechanical and electrical tasks to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate holds an Industrial Maintenance certificate and is willing to work 3rd shift, with a $1/hr shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts.

Qualifications

Industrial Maintenance certificate/diploma or formal training required.
Willing to work 3rd shift; 2nd/3rd shift receive $1/hr differential.

Responsibilities

Inspects machinery or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and repair.
Performs preventive maintenance on machinery/equipment; records maintenance data, job time, and prepares basic reports.
Builds, fabricates, repairs structures and/or equipment from verbal instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
Tests/replaces electrical components under lockout/Tagout requirements; may install/replace bus duct disconnects; replace lighting and fuses in energized gear.
Assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and hydraulics/pneumatics; repairs gauges, valves, regulators.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
