Job summary

AST SpaceMobile in Midland, TX is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing setting.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, work with CMMS, and participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Shift is 2nd nights 6:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m. with a 10% differential; pay up to $42/hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of industrial maintenance experience or related fields.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, machinery, and support equipment.
• Inspect equipment and systems to identify wear, potential failures, and reliability concerns.
• Document maintenance activities using maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures using schematics, technical manuals, drawings, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace motors, sensors, relays, switches, pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, valves, and related equipment.
• Utilize multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and restore equipment functionality.
• Support production operations by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and operational efficiency.
• Assist with installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning of production equipment.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Maintain building systems including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
