Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Midland, TX production facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, repair equipment, and support continuous improvement to maximize uptime and efficiency.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience in industrial maintenance or related fields. Shift: 2nd shift nights, 6:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Safety-conscious in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, machinery, and support equipment.
• Inspect equipment and systems to identify wear, potential failures, and reliability concerns.
• Document maintenance activities using CMMS.
• Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures using schematics, manuals, drawings, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace motors, sensors, relays, switches, pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, valves, and related equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and operational efficiency.
• Assist with installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning of production equipment.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
