Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Cudahy, CA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift to repair leaks, inspect and dispose of defective cylinders, and perform painting and basic maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and ability to lift 40–70 pounds. Forklift experience and familiarity with hydrostatic/ultrasonic testers are a plus; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the gas industry and cylinder maintenance preferred.
• Proficient in mechanical operations or skilled at mechanical tasks.
• Knowledge of equipment such as hydrostatic and ultrasonic testers and ability to maintain required certifications.
• Good collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to safety culture.
• Ability to push, pull, move and/or lift 40–70 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• High standards of honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Repair leaks, inspecting, and disposing of defective cylinders, and painting cylinders.
• Using effective and efficient processes for testing, repairing, converting cylinders, receiving new cylinders and supplies, focusing on continuous improvement.
• Operating a forklift to move product throughout the facility.
• Performing general cleaning tasks and basic facility maintenance.
