Job summary

Linde plc in Newark, NJ is seeking a dedicated technician to process medical and industrial gas cylinders on 2nd shift, following established plant guidelines. You will inspect cylinders, load and unload, and operate scales and forklift equipment.

Applicants should have a high school degree and at least 1 year in a plant or manufacturing environment; leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are important.

Qualifications

• You have a high school degree / GED.
• You have more than one (1+) year experience in plant or manufacturing environment.
• A strong mechanical background is desired.
• You must possess good leadership, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders following plant guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct cylinder inspections for retesting or repairs by visual, physical, and odor tests.
• Check cylinder quantities, styles and product; fill as needed; load/unload weekly shuttle truck.
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and related equipment.
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork; enter data into the computer.
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation; operate forklift and other plant vehicles.
