* Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment.* Troubleshoot and repair saws, slicers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, packaging equipment, vacuum sealers, scales, labelers, printers, and metal detectors.* Perform intermediate-level electrical work involving motors, sensors, switches, and control wiring.* Conduct equipment alignments, adjustments, and rebuilds as needed.* Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.* Execute preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.* Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. **Documentation & Continuous Improvement** * Complete and maintain work orders, PM checklists, and parts usage records within the CMMS system.* Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs, SOPs, and parts standardization.* Participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.* Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and reliability programs.* Provide feedback regarding equipment upgrades and process improvements. **Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance** * Perform all work in compliance with USDA/FSIS, HACCP, SSOP, and GMP requirements.* Use approved food-grade lubricants and materials in production areas.* Ensure equipment is properly reassembled following sanitation activities.* Support pre-operational inspections and food safety readiness.* Perform maintenance work during both production and sanitation shifts as needed. **Production Support** * Communicate equipment status with production supervisors and operators.* Assist with line setup, tooling changes, and production changeovers.* Train operators on basic equipment care and autonomous maintenance practices.* Support production efficiency and equipment reliability efforts. **Facility Maintenance** * Perform maintenance on plumbing systems, pumps, valves, steam systems, hot water systems, and basic HVAC equipment.* Assist with cooler and freezer equipment maintenance.* Provide basic refrigeration support when trained and authorized.* Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and parts inventories. **Safety** * Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, fall protection, and chemical handling requirements.* Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.
