Job summary

Denali Ingredients, LLC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in our Wisconsin facility. You will support safe, efficient production aligned with food safety standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, install equipment, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime. A strong mechanical and analytical skill set with CMMS experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical technology certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance technician experience, preferably in food processing/manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical, analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, PMs and installs of production mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment using testing devices and schematics.
• Execute repairs on mechanical and electrical production equipment and systems.
• Install new mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, ensuring safety compliance.
• Assist in upgrading existing systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain CMMS records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.

Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment and systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of production processes. This role is crucial for meeting production targets while adhering to food safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Perform maintenance, inspections, PM’s and installs of production mechanical and electrical systems
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment and systems using testing devices and technical schematics.
• Repairs: Execute repairs on mechanical and electrical production equipment and systems
• Installation: Install new mechanical and electrical equipment and systems as required, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Upgrades: Assist in the upgrading of existing mechanical and electrical systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards, including food safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections; using CMMS system
• Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to mechanical and electrical emergencies, providing quick resolutions to prevent production interruptions.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Housekeeping: Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.
• Other duties as required

Education and/or Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical technology preferred.
• Experience: Previous 3-5 years’ experience as an industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Skills: Strong mechanical, analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Communication Skills

Effective oral and written communications are essential, as are interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required. Must have effective PC skills to include MS Office software such as Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with frequent, established deadlines is required. Organizational and analytical skills are required. The ability to work effectively with diverse populations is required.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
