Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine, emergency and preventive maintenance on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities. The role includes maintaining work areas, assisting in plant safety and operating the floor scrubber.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, ability to read blueprints and manuals, and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, and pumps.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, building and vehicle repair.
• Experience with pumps, drives, belts, and bearings.
• Understanding of 460V 3-phase motor controls and piping.
• Familiarity with steam condensate, boilers and HVAC, safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, emergency and preventive maintenance.
• Work on office and plant equipment and building facilities.
• Assist in maintaining plant security and inspections.
• Maintain work area, equipment and tools.
• Operate floor scrubber and participate in safety programs.
• Comply with OSHA activities and safety procedures.
