Job summary

Cargill is seeking a maintenance technician for our Akron, OH facility. You will perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on packaging equipment, conveyors, pumps, and related systems, using SAP/CMMS and standard tools.

The role requires safety adherence and the ability to read schematics. Candidates should have at least one year of industrial maintenance experience, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
• Ability to perform physical job duties up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
• Minimum of one year experience with maintenance trades in an industrial environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining components and systems such as packaging equipment, electrical components, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, conveyors, pumps, bearings.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance.
• Document all work and conditions; use CMMS/SAP as needed.
• Install, maintain, test, and repair packaging equipment, conveyors, pumps, and bearings.
• Operate standard maintenance tools and read schematics/blueprints.
• Operate a forklift and follow safety policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
