Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the reliability of our manufacturing facility and infrastructure systems. In this role you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and minimize downtime in a 24/7 industrial environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Trade or technical school degree or equivalent experience preferred.
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and non-routine preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on process and support equipment.
Respond to emergency equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
Install and support new equipment, instrumentation, and process controls.
Maintain process control systems including PLCs, instrumentation, controllers, and PC-based systems.
Complete special projects, equipment upgrades, renovations, and modifications.
Follow Management of Change (MOC) requirements for all modifications.
Accurately completes and communicates required documentation of work orders, status updates and service records.
Directs assigned projects including procurement, installation, renovations, and modifications per PSM compliance standards and within safe work practices.
Approaches all activities with a “safety first” attitude, keeping work, storage, and supply areas clean and organized.
Actively takes part in the Emergency Response Team (ERT), maintaining all required training and medical certifications and responds to incident and/or emergency situations
