Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility and infrastructure systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and help minimize downtime to ensure production efficiency.

You will respond to emergency repairs, support new equipment installations, and uphold quality and safety standards, including participation in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) with required training and certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade or technical school degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively performs emergency and unscheduled repairs and preventative maintenance tasks per policies and procedures
• Responsible for completing maintenance activities on schedule and within quality standards to limit equipment downtime
• Successfully performs maintenance related activities correlated to the installation of new equipment and process controls
• Accurately completes and communicates required documentation of work orders, status updates and service records
• Directs assigned projects including procurement, installation, renovations, and modifications per PSM compliance standards and within safe work practices
• Approaches all activities with a “safety first” attitude, keeping work, storage, and supply areas clean and organized.
• Actively takes part in the Emergency Response Team (ERT), maintaining all required training and medical certifications and responds to incident and/or emergency situations
