Job summary

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for 2nd Shift (and 1st Shift as needed) in Mason, OH.

The role involves general electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairing control systems to keep production running smoothly. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus a maintenance certificate or equivalent experience in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of maintenance certificate program from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment required.
• Knowledge of CNC machines, distributed control systems, and logic controllers required.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control system.
• Ability to work with low voltage systems.
• Experience with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) work preferred.
• Troubleshooting / critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Ability to weld as needed (ARC, MIG or TIG).
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring or installing new.
• Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery.
• Working from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose problems.
• Operate various platform lifts, including fork-lifts, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts.
• Operate overhead crane when necessary.
• Use a variety of hand/power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Follow lock out tag out protocol as required.
• Responds to daily facilities work orders and works on special projects.
• Follow all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines.

Education

High school diploma or GED required

Maintenance certificate program completion

Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment

Knowledge of CNC machines, distributed control systems, and logic controllers

Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control system

Ability to work with low voltage systems
