Job description

Title:

Industrial Maintenance Tech - 1st Shift

Location:

St. Paul, Minnesota

Responsibilities:

1. The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment, performed following appropriate safety and productive maintenance systems and processes, to support the achievement of business goals.
2. Perform highly diversified scheduled preventive maintenance tasks necessary for the continued safe operation of production machines and foundry equipment.
3. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to return to safe operation.
4. Perform scheduled maintenance of production equipment during regular service intervals and semi-annual shutdowns.
5. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
6. Display in-depth knowledge of basic maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
7. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
8. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
9. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications:

• Some experience maintaining large industrial-type equipment.
• Understanding of how to pull a cylinder or valve, replace seals, and re-install.
• Strong welding and fabricating background.
• Analytical thinking, adaptability, and flexibility.
• Basic electrical experience, including lockout/tagout knowledge and basic wiring up to 480 volts. PLC experience is a plus, but not required. Electrical issues are generally minor and infrequent.
