Job summary

Reading Truck in Reading, PA is seeking a Maintenance Tech (Industrial Mechanic) for 1st shift to keep production equipment running. You will perform preventive maintenance on fabrication machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors, welding machines, and coating lines to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, installing equipment, wiring, and electronic components, and providing emergency repairs when needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with machine maintenance in an industrial setting is required.
• Basic industrial electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read prints and measuring devices accurately.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations in industry.
• Ability to climb, stand, bend, lift heavy objects in awkward spaces.
• Work in an industrial setting with exposure to fumes, dust, vibration, noise and high voltage with proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Observing and troubleshooting machinery malfunctions.
• Install machinery/equipment, assemble and repair wiring, electrical and mechanical components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Provide regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs as needed; may require OT or weekend work.
