Job summary

Cimolai-HY is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Olean, NY. You will maintain and repair machinery and equipment used in steel fabrication, with emphasis on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Reading schematics and safety practices are essential. The role requires 3–5 years in an industrial setting, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably a Journeyman certificate.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
• Journeyman certificate preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and repair or coordinate with vendors.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Ensure maintenance complies with safety regulations and company policy.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and accurate maintenance records.
• Operate basic machine tools and assist with installation of new equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and support downtime reduction.
