Job Description

This role's responsibility is to maintain, solve, and make vital repairs to ensure the efficiency, performance, and reliability of the Cool Whip/Lunchables systems and equipment in accordance with Kraft Heinz policies and procedures, in an efficient and safe manner to provide the highest level of quality and delivery to our customers. The successful candidate will work on both mechanical and electrical systems, including up to 480V, PLC ladder logic, controls integrations, as well as traditional mechanical systems such as cams, drives, belts, and sheaves, drive systems.

Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Perform duties within the Maintenance function with minimal supervision. Supervise the line for early defect observations, create repair plans prior to failure, and solve or repair mechanical or electrical failures.
2. Adhere to GMP policies and procedures.
3. Maintain records of equipment performance, repairs, and downtime using PMs, SAP work requests, and PC-based systems.
4. Coordinate with the Supervisor on product changeovers and other vital information to ensure quality and efficiency.
5. Recognize and record unusual conditions or defective equipment via SAP Protocol.
6. Maintain clean and orderly work areas to meet sanitation standards.
7. Follow all safety rules and participate in audits and procedure development.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Mechanical skills and abilities:

• Understanding and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Repair and rebuild mechanical systems.
• Read and understand machine prints/drawings.
• Welding skills in acetylene, plasma cutting, Heliarc/stick welding.
• Perform routine machining and parts fabrication.
• Knowledge of PLC operation and logic.
• Basic motor control circuitry knowledge.
• Understanding of equipment sequence of operation.
• Proficient use of relevant instruments/tools.
• Effective communication skills and computer literacy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to pass mechanical and electrical skills testing.
• Capability to perform and train others in mechanical repairs, maintenance systems, and new technologies.
• Strong communication, leadership, and planning skills.

Physical requirements:

• Ability to perform bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to give and understand instructions in a manufacturing and office environment.
• Manual dexterity for operating and disassembling equipment, and using computers.
