Job summary

Smith Industries is seeking an hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our fabrication operations. This role is critical to maintaining uptime across cranes, welding systems, and fabrication equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The candidate should have experience with overhead cranes and fabrication machinery, be able to read blueprints and schematics, and work in a production-driven setting. Flexible hours including overtime or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on overhead cranes, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery (press brakes, CNC, rollers, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, compressors, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain work orders, inspections, and maintenance records (CMMS).
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvements.

What We Are Looking For
