Job summary

Smith Industries seeks a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support fabrication operations. You will maintain uptime across cranes, welding systems, and fabrication equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and maintaining CMMS records while supporting installations and facility improvements in a rugged production setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead cranes, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends as needed.

Smith Industries is seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our fabrication operations. This role is critical to maintaining uptime across cranes, welding systems, and fabrication equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, compressors, and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Maintain work orders, inspections, and maintenance records (CMMS)
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvements

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working on overhead cranes, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery (press brakes, CNC, rollers, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a production-driven environment
