Job summary

Sigma is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Darlington, WI to keep equipment running smoothly and safely. You’ll work on mechanical, electrical, and welding systems, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting control systems to minimize downtime.

The role supports a 3rd shift/overnight environment with varying temperatures and requirements. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, maintaining tools, and coordinating repairs with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Two years of industrial or facility maintenance experience.
• Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and welding.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, solutions-focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and welding systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including control systems.
• Assemble, disassemble, clean, lubricate, and replace machine parts.
• Weld and repair structures, machinery, tanks, valves, and sheet metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure all maintenance work meets OSHA and safety standards.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding repairs beyond scope.

Position Summary

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, and use of hands in repetitive motions
• Frequent reaching above shoulder level
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and varying noise levels
• Work environments ranging from 35° to 95°+ Fahrenheit

Work Environment

• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and 3rd shift
• Temperature ranges vary depending on the department
