Job summary

Sigma, a global food organization, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our equipment, systems, and production environment running smoothly and safely. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and welding systems on-site, with daily preventive maintenance and safety standards in focus.

Ideal candidates have a technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of maintenance experience; bilingual

• Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and welding systems
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including control systems
• Assemble, disassemble, clean, lubricate, and replace machine parts
• Weld and repair structures, machinery, tanks, valves, and sheet metal
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Ensure all maintenance work meets OSHA and safety standards
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment
• Communicate with supervisors regarding repairs beyond scope

Position Summary

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and welding systems
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including control systems

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field
• High School Diploma or GED
• Working knowledge of electrical systems
• Valid driver's license
• Eligible to work in the United States

Preferred

• At least two (2) years of industrial or facility maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of welding
• Bilingual Spanish

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, and use of hands in repetitive motions
• Frequent reaching above shoulder level
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and varying noise levels
• Work environments ranging from 35° to 95°+ Fahrenheit

Work Environment

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and a 4:00 AM start time
