Job summary

Rain Carbon Inc. in Sulphur, LA seeks a maintenance technician to uphold plant equipment performance. You will perform repairs, installations, inspections, and contribute to improvements with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires related training or experience, ability to read blueprints and safety instructions, and the capacity to handle electrical, carpentry, and fabrication tasks as part of a team supporting plant operations.

Qualifications

• Two years related training from college or vocational school; and/or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical blueprints, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to present information to small groups.

Responsibilities

• Performs repair-oriented activities on a daily basis based on needs and maintenance scheduling.
• Performs welding, burning, fabrication and repairs to equipment throughout the plant.
• Conducts preventive maintenance checks on all equipment.
• Performs mechanical repairs on process and auxiliary equipment throughout the plant.
• Performs minor electrical repairs as needed.
• May perform minor carpentry work and operate mobile equipment for maintenance.
• Reports problems or safety issues to appropriate personnel; may lead maintenance projects.
