Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. in Baton Rouge seeks a Maintenance Technician responsible for the general maintenance of buildings and equipment to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, welding, basic electrical work, and manage spare parts inventories while following SOPs and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge required.
• Blueprint reading and welding/cutting skills needed.
• Experience with forklift operation and safety practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and maintain proper paperwork and housekeeping.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
• Develop understanding of equipment and preventive maintenance needs.
