Job summary

Sibelco Group is seeking a Technician Maintenance in Saint Paul to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility machinery. The role ensures plant equipment operates safely and reliably to support production and quality targets.

Responsibilities span preventive and corrective maintenance, conveyor systems, electrical troubleshooting, sorting systems, welding, and hands-on fabrication. The position requires strong teamwork and adaptability across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance of facility machinery and conveyors.
• Welding and fabrication capabilities.
• Ability to read basic electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility machinery and material handling systems.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and order parts from vendors.
• Install, maintain, and repair conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, forklifts, loaders, and sweepers.
• Change bearings, belts, and idler pulleys on trough-style conveyors.
• Clean and service pneumatic valves on optical sorting machines and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Inspect and maintain non-ferrous metal detectors.
• Troubleshoot and maintain sorting computer systems; back up software and parameters.
• Weld, fabricate, and repair components and patch holes in steel chutes.
• Rig motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy components safely.
• Communicate equipment issues with mechanics and supervisors across shifts.
• Maintain, secure, and properly use tools and equipment.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs and support PM program.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Serve as backup support for maintenance technicians as needed.
• Participate in problem-solving efforts and support maintenance projects.
• Work collaboratively as a team member and provide leadership when required.
• Work a flexible schedule, including various shifts and days.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
