Job summary

Kohl's is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, inspect and repair facilities, equipment and machinery. You will perform daily and routine maintenance on conveyors, air compressors, generators, HVAC systems and fire protection devices.

Requires basic mechanical/electrical/plumbing knowledge, MSDS compliance, ability to climb ladders and work with minimal supervision. You must provide your own basic tools and be prepared for evening and night shifts on site.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment.
• Compliance with MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate power equipment.
• Must provide own basic set of tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment.
• Preventative maintenance of air compressors, generators, compactors, bailers, conveyors and power handling equipment.
• Repair of fire protection equipment.
• Parts administration.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves.
• Routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units.
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility.
• Sort, stack and load pallets for recycling.
• Assist outside contractors in performing duties.
• Promptly answer jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues.

Monday-Thursday 2pm-12am

Monday-Thursday 10pm-8am

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will promote workplace efficiency and profitability by maintaining, inspecting and repairing facilities, equipment and machinery.

What You’ll Do

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, generators, compactors, bailers, conveyors and power and material handling equipment
• Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment
• Parts administration

• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility
• Sort, stack and load pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel and light bulbs for recycling

• Assist outside contractors in performing various duties
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
